Please review these terms & conditions that are designed to ensure that we give both you and our owners the best possible service. Terms and conditions are subject to change. COVID-19: SUPPORTING YOUR WELL-BEING AND TRAVEL PLANS 


PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

PAYMENT POLICY. As a courtesy to our valued guests, we have temporarily eliminated the 50% deposit charged at time of booking and reduced the advance final charge from 30 days to 7 days. 7 days prior to arrival, your reservation will be charged in full. Once charged, reservations are non-refundable due to cancellation or early departure. If reservations are made within 7 days of arrival, the reservation will be charged in full and is not refundable due to cancellation or early departure. 

All guests are required to have a major credit card on file for charges, damages and incidentals. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Taxes and fees are subject to change. 

CANCELLATION POLICY. As a courtesy to our valued guests, we have temporarily reduced the cancellation period from 30 days to 7 days. Reservations may be changed or cancelled up to 7 days prior to arrival, after which, there are no refunds due to cancellation or early departure.


CLEAN AND CARE COMMITMENT – CHECK-IN, DURING YOUR STAY, CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES (Reflects California’s COVID Stage 3 Operations)

To ensure your safety during your stay, we’ve incorporated California COVID-19 clean protocols into our existing best-in-class cleanliness standards. A few items require cooperation from our valued guest and may feel out of place at first, but if we know anything about Mammoth Lakes’ loyalists, it’s that we can adapt to whatever Mother Nature sends our way.

Check-In 4 p.m.

  • Please check in and check out 1849 Condos Office, 826 Lakeview Boulevard, Mammoth Lakes, CA. 93546
  • Please wear a mask in all public spaces
  • Touchless check-in procedures are in place

During Your Stay (Please note: sleeper sofas and additional bedding are not available)

  • Maintenance and housekeeping staff are not allowed in unit during your stay. Touchless procedures are in place, where possible. 
  • As an additional safety precaution, rinse clean dishes and kitchen items with hot water before use. 
  • Wash all dishwasher-safe dishes, silverware and cookware in the dishwasher. 1849 housekeeping will disinfect items needing to be hand washed after the stay. 
  • If you use any item from a cabinet or shelf, leave this item out for the duration of your stay. 1849 housekeeping will disinfect after check-out.

Check-Out Checklist 10 a.m. (Late checkouts will not be permitted as units must be people-free for 48 hours. Charges apply.)

Please complete to avoid additional cleaning fees.

  1. Please bag all used and unused linens, towels, and bathmats and place them in the provided laundry bag (please leave pillows and comforters on bed)
  2. Close and lock all windows and doors
  3. Turn off all heaters and lights
  4. Take out all used and unused personal items and trash (including foods, condiments, soaps, shampoos, conditioner) to the commercial dumpsters. Be sure to re-lock the units to keep animals out.
  5. Load and start the dishwasher.  

Drop keys in the dropbox at 1849 Condos Office, 826 Lakeview Boulevard, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546. If dropping off keys before office hours, please call (760) 934-7525 and leave your unit number, name, exact time you departed and any maintenance issues. 

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURES & REDUCTION IN SERVICES

Due to California directed initiatives, the hot tubs, game room, sleeper sofas and extra bedding are temporarily not available. Thank you for your understanding.

 

YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY & WELL-BEING

We care about your health and well-being, as well as the health of our staff and local community. As a rural community, we have limited medical resources available. If you begin to feel sick during your stay, please take immediate action by contacting the Nurse Hotline at 211. We really appreciate your cooperation.

1849 MOUNTAIN RENTALS IS CERTIFIED COVID CLEAN BUSINESS   

1849 Mountain Rentals is a Certified COVID-19 Clean business and has aligned with California and Mono County Covid-19 Stage 3 requirements as well as their secondary recommendations. As a rural community, we have limited medical facilities and need to be as protective as possible of our guests, owners, and staff.

 Key practices we are doing for you and our staff:

  • Staff COVID-19 prevention training, frequent handwashing, and use of masks and gloves
  • Disinfection of high traffic, high touch areas throughout the day
  • Disinfection of condos and providing 48 hours between every stay
  • Using COVID-19-approved cleaning chemicals
  • Bedding and towels are washed at a commercial laundry facility that adheres to CDC Cleaning Guidelines
  • Toiletries are bagged using gloves and placed in condos to reduce the number of touchpoints
  • Touchless check-in and check-out procedures
  • Sleeper sofas and extra bedding are not available at this time
  • Keys are disinfected after every use

1849 MOUNTAIN RENTALS TERMS & CONDITIONS CONTINUED  


You must be 18 years of age to rent a unit.

CHECK-IN TIME: 4 p.m.

CHECK-OUT TIME: 10 a.m. (Late checkouts will not be permitted as units must be people-free for 48 hours. Penalty applies.)

QUIET HOURS: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

RECREATION HOURS: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY is set by local fire code and is fineable by law.

KEY DEPOSIT: $25 will be charged for each key not returned to 1849 Mountain Rentals. The guest is liable for incurred expenses should it become necessary to contact a locksmith.


NO PETS POLICY

We DO NOT allow any species of pets. A minimum of $250 cleaning fee and eviction will be enacted. 1849 Mountain Rentals does have service pet friendly units available upon request for properly documented service pets as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Service pets must be approved when the reservation is made. Emotional support animals are not permitted. Guests with pets on property that have not been approved by the front desk are subject to a minimum of $350 fee and eviction with no refund.


NO SMOKING OF ANY SUBSTANCE

All units are NON-SMOKING of any substance. A minimum of $350 cleaning fee will be charged. California state law requires that smoking must be at least 20 feet away from all doorways. 


DAMAGES, CAUSING DISTURBANCE, & EVICTION

Guests are responsible for any damages to the unit and fees associated with behavior that affects other guests. Please report any existing damages in your unit upon check-in. Guests may be asked to immediately vacate rental premises, without refunds or compensation, in the event of unnecessary and loud noise (nuisance or disturbance), breaking of 1849 Mountain Rental or condominium association rules or other illegal activities. Any reservation obtained under false pretense and not adhering to minimum age, occupancy limits, pet/smoking policy and supervision requirements are subject to immediate eviction without refund or compensation. 


MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARKING SPOTS

The maximum number of parking spots allowed for the unit, and whether they are indoor or outdoor, is indicated on your reservation paperwork. Please have a parking pass visible at all times to avoid towing at the owner’s expense.

HEIGHT OF PARKING GARAGES. 1849 Condos Lodge, 6’6” and 6’9”; Snowbird Condos, 7’6”; Sierra Megeve, 7’2”. Please note, 1849 Condos Townhomes do not have access to indoor parking.  

SUMMER OVERFLOW PARKING. Street parking is available May through October. 

WINTER OVERFLOW PARKING. From November 1 through April 30, no parking is allowed along city streets unless otherwise noted. Paid overnight parking is available throughout the winter at the following locations: Mammoth Mountain RV Park, at the Berner Street parking lot across from the Village at Mammoth, and the Mammoth Yosemite Airport.


UNIT SUBSTITUTIONS

We reserve the right to substitute comparable accommodations without notice or liability should the reserved unit be out of order or not available for any reason. 


UNIT SUPPLIES PROVIDED

Units come stocked with linens, pillows, comforters, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, dish sponge, and trash bags. Complimentary firewood is supplied during the winter. 

Please note, each bed has 1 comforter. Please bring additional bedding, if desired. (Sleeper sofas and extra bedding are not available at this time.)

 FIREPLACES. OPEN flue prior to lighting a fire. Fire starter and matches are available at the rental office. Please do not remove ashes when done.


AFTER-HOUR EMERGENCIES 

For life threatening emergencies or noise disturbances, call 911. For property emergenicees, use the intercom in the 1849 Mountain Rentals Office (1849 Condos lobby) to connect with the onsite manager.


SNOW REMOVAL FOR 1849 CONDOS

During heavy snowfall, guests parked in 1849 Condos’ outside parking will be asked to temporarily move their vehicle to the street for snow removal of the parking lot. Please note, there is no overnight parking on the street so you must return your vehicle to the parking lot to avoid being towed.

Guests are responsible for the snow removal around their own vehicle during their stay. Snow shovels are available at the front desk with ID.

 SNOW CHAINS. 1849 Mountain Rentals is not a licensed chain installer. Chevron on Main Street will install chains. Here’s more information on snow chains, when you need them and where to get them.


HOUSEKEEPING

There is no daily housekeeping service.


MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE

Individuals less than 18 years of age are not permitted to rent units. Guests under the age of 18 must have direct adult supervision at all times when on rental premises. Absolutely no unit will be rented to vacationing students under 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian of age as mentioned above. Any reservations obtained under false pretense will be subject to loss of prepayment, rental payments, taxes and fees.


NO UTILITY HOOK-UPS

Motor homes or campers are not permitted to hook up to utilities on any rental premises. Here’s a list of hook-ups in Mammoth Lakes.


LOST AND FOUND

1849 Condos is not responsible for lost or stolen items.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

All units are leased without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. We reserve the right to change unit assignments if the need arises. Please note that all 1849 Mountain Rental properties are individually owned and because vacation property owners often make changes, furnishings and decor may not be the same as pictured on the internet. We make every effort to ensure that all the information in this website is current and accurate. We cannot be held responsible for errors or changes made by owners in furnishings and equipment.
