COVID-19 Response and Commitment

Based on CA orders as well as our local Mono County Health Department direction, all of Mono and Inyo County are closed for short term rentals through May 31st. As soon as we have an update or know more about these restrictions, we will send out an email blast. If you wish to be on our email list, sign up on our homepage.

1849 would like to thank all our guests for their patience and understanding during this difficult time. Here are some frequently asked questions and some information for to us work together.

As our office staff is down to two individuals, please email questions to manager@1849condos.com. Our office hours are limited so our phone is going directly to voicemail. Include your reservation number so that we can get back to you quickly. We should be able to get back to everyone within 24 hrs.

Executive Orders from Governor of CA and Mono County Health

In compliance with CA Executive Orders, travel is restricted from your home community. We want to do our part by deterring any travel into Inyo and Mono Counties. Short term rentals are prohibited through May.

COVID-19 Policy

As of today, we have canceled and issue credits s to all guests starting March 16th through May 31st, 2020.

Guests may use their credits for one year from the date of their original arrival date. All credits are final.

The credit applied to the future reservation can only be used by booking through 1849 Mountain Rental properties by calling 800-421-1849. We will begin taking winter reservations approximately July 15th. If the credit does not cover the future reservation total cost, the guest is responsible for paying the difference. Rates vary depending on booking dates and units.

All guests must re-schedule their reservation(s) by 12/15/2020, any unused credits that have not been applied to a new reservation(s) by 12/31/2020 will be forfeited.

Reservations will be made on a “first come first serve” basis, and availability could become limited over time. Re-booking the reservation is the guest’s responsibility.

Guests with Reservations Arriving between June 1st, 2020 and August 31st, 2020:

We all hope that this pandemic is over very soon so that everyone can be safe, happy, healthy, and getting back to their normal lives. We miss having you all here and hope that our guests can begin traveling again soon. Our beautiful Summer months are right around the corner. We hope by adding some flexibility for our valued guests, they will refrain from canceling their existing reservations and provide others with the confidence to make new reservations to help keep Mammoth in business.

All NEW or Existing reservations with Arrival Dates between June 1st, 2020 and August 31st, 2020 can move their dates to a future date without penalty.

Guests will receive a 100% credit for the total amount paid for the original reservation that they can apply to a future reservation that must arrive and depart before December 31st, 2020.

If the credit does not cover the future reservation total cost, the guest is responsible for paying the difference.

How we are combating COVID-19 /Housekeeping Services

  • Updated Housekeeping Standards and Protocols
    • In addition to our already very thorough standard cleaning procedures, we have taken extra measures to clean and disinfect our rooms in their entirety. All high touch areas, like; countertops, door handles, cabinet handles, appliances, remotes, furniture, light switches, etc. have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We have done additional cleaning while we have been closed, of all rental units based on health code processes and procedures.
